Emeka graduated from the University of Ibadan with a First Class Degree in Law (LLB) in 2006 and a Second Class (Upper Division) Degree (BL) from the Nigeria Law School in 2007. He also possesses a Master of Laws degree from the University of Lagos and is currently a doctorate[PhD] candidate at the same university.
Emeka is an excellence-driven and experienced legal practitioner. He has worked in some of the top notch legal firms in Nigeria and acquired extensive experience and legal skills particularly in the areas of corporate commercial law and corporate litigation. He has advised both local and off shore clients on diverse legal issues bothering on foreign direct investment, regulatory compliance, taxation, banking law, admiralty law and capital market transactions. He has represented corporate clients in litigations at the High Courts, Court of Appeal and the Investment & Securities Tribunal (IST). Emeka also attended various training seminars on capital market transactions, secured credits, taxation, transfer pricing and computer appreciation that have proved to be beneficial in building his career skills.
He has a very sharp and analytical mind which he brings to bear on assignments. Emeka joined ASCO Firm in January 2012 and is currently the Firm’s Practice Head and a member of the Corporate Commercial Law Department of Messrs. Abiola Sanni & Co. He is involved in the component practice areas which include corporate and commercial law, taxation, business law, and commercial litigation. Emeka is also a research assistant to Prof. Abiola Sanni, the Principal Partner and the Director of the Tax Planning Support Services, the tax practice and training arm of the Firm.
